4,582 families get houses in dists

This time, 3234 homeless families of Sylhet division will celebrate Eid-ul-Fitr in the gift house of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
Before Eid, more than 33,000 homeless families of the country are getting the gift house of the Prime Minister at the same time. Of these, 3 thousand 234 houses have been prepared in Sylhet division.
On Tuesday, April 26, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will hand over these houses to the homeless and landless.
The keys of the house along with the land deeds will be handed over to them through a ceremony.
A total of 32,904 homeless families are getting houses including land ownership before Eid under Asrayan-2 project.
Semipaka houses before Eid will add an extra dimension to the Eid joy of these landless-homeless people. However, in the third phase, more than 75,000 families will get a house as a gift from the Prime Minister.
Sylhet Additional Divisional Commissioner (Local Government Director) Mohammad Zakaria said 3,234 houses have been prepared for transfer in Sylhet division before Eid. Of these, there are 618 houses in Sylhet district, 1,149 in Sunamganj district, 495 in Moulvibazar district and 63 in Habiganj district. He said that the structure of the third phase is changing a lot as compared to the first and second phase. Expenditure has been increased. That is why houses will be strong and durable. Earlier, it used to cost 1 lakh 60 thousand rupees to build a family house.
Now 2 lakh 45 thousand rupees has been spent. According to the relevant sources, 1 lakh 17 thousand 329 houses have already been provided to the landless and homeless under the Asrayan-2 project in the first and second phase. They have been given semi-permanent houses with ownership of two percent land.
It had a kitchen and toilet. There was also a place for raising poultry and growing vegetables in the yard.
Staff Reporter from Rangpur says: Some 1299 landless families are getting houses in the 3rd phase as Eid gifts. The keys of these houses were officially handed over at the Upazila Auditorium Hall in Rangpur on Tuesday. Rangpur Divisional Commissioner Abdul Wab Bhuiyan, Deputy Commissioner Asib Ahsan, Upazila Parishad Chairman Nur Mohammad Mandal, Upazila Executive Officer Biroda Rani Roy, Pirganj Municipal Mayor and Upazila Awami League General Secretary Tajimul Islam Shamim, Upazila Awami League Acting President Prof Nurul Amin Raja , Vice President Shahidul Islam Pintu, Pirganj Police Station Officer in Charge Abdul Awal and others were present.
On the occasion of Mujib’s year, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina joined the programme through video conferencing to provide land and houses to the landless and homeless families of 492 upazilas of the country in the third phase of Asrayan-II project.
The Prime Minister also exchanged views with the beneficiaries and other stakeholders through video conferencing from his official residence Ganobhaban on Tuesday.
At the Pirganj Upazila Auditorium hall, Rangpur Division, Rangpur District and Pirganj Upazila government officials, Pirganj political leaders, well-wishers, journalists and civil society representatives witnessed the event. Later, house keys were distributed among the listed helpless. Tube wells have been installed for free electricity connection and safe water in the distributed houses.
According to District Administration sources, out of 1,299 landless homeless families in the 3rd phase of the district, 105 are in Sadar upazila, 126 in Kauniya upazila, 100 in Badarganj upazila, 120 in Pirgachha, 300 in Mithapukur, 106 in Taraganj and 200 in Gangachara.
Manikganj Correspondent reports: Some nine distressed families of Shibalaya upazila got the house given by the Prime Minister as Eid gift. On Tuesday, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina inaugurated the virtual land and house transfer program across the country.
Upazila Chairman Rezaur Rahman Khan Janu presided over the function organized at Shibalaya Upazila Parishad Auditorium.
 Manikganj Additional Deputy Commissioner (Education and ICT) Shukla Sarkar, UNO Md. Zahidur Rahman, AC-Land Mahbubul Islam, Vice Chairman Runa Akhter, Upazila AL General Secretary MA Quddus BA, Shimulia UP Chairman Zahir Uddin Manik, Teota UP Chairman Md. Mosharraf Hossain, Uthali UP Chairman Md. Abbas Ali, officers and employees of various departments and beneficiaries were present.
Shibalaya Upazila Executive Officer Zahidur Rahman said, Rina Begum, Rabeya Begum, Hasna Begum, Rehna of Teota Union Milon Rani Sikder, Alim, Dukhu Mia, Halki and Chhaya Rani Haldar of Shimulia Upion were given gift in 3rd stage.
Land and house were handed over to the families. This facility was given to 70 families in this upazila in 3 phases. Soon 74 more people will be given land and housing facilities in the 4th phase.
Beneficiaries were very happy getting the land and house given by the Prime Minister. They wish Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina a long life and good health.
It may be mentioned that land and houses were handed over to 32,904 landless and homeless people across the country.
Gafargaon (Mymensingh) Correspondent adds: On the occasion of Mujib’s Centenary, Fahmi Golandaj Babel MP handed over houses with Eid gift land to 40 landless and homeless families as a representative of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina at Gafargaon under Mymensingh.
On this occasion, the Upazila Administration organized a programme at the Upazila Parishad Auditorium on Tuesday .

Abidur Rahman, at this time Municipal Mayor SM Iqbal Hossain Sumon, Upazila Awami League General Secretary and UP Chairman Abul Kashem, Assistant Commissioner (Land) Kaberi Roy, Upazila Parishad Vice Chairman Principal Ataur Rahman, Women Vice Chairman Reshma Akter, Gafargaon Police Station OC Faruk Ahmed, Pagla Police Station OC Rasheduzzaman, Gafargaon Press Club President and UP Chairman Abdullah Al Amin Biplob, General Secretary Abdus Salam Sabuj and other beneficiaries, officials, employees and various media persons were present.
Member of Parliament Fahmi Golandaj Babel said, “Hon’ble Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina implemented what she said. She said there would be no homeless family.” And that is why Mujib has been receiving homeless Eid gifts for centuries.
