A 45-kilometer long traffic congestion has been created on Dhaka-Tangail-Bangabandhu Bridge Highway in Tangail.
As a result, vehicles are seen plying on the highway area intermittently.
The traffic congestion was seen from Karatia union of Tangail Sadar upazila to Bangabandhu Bridge east side from on Wednesday (May 12) morning, causing great suffering to Eid holidaymakers who are making their home journeys by trucks, pick-ups, private cars and motorcycles.
Yasir Arafat, in-charge of Elenga Highway Police Outpost, confirmed the news.
