Water levels in 44 river stations monitored by Flood Forecasting and Warning Centre (FFWC) have marked rise and 31 stations recorded fall.
Among the 83 monitored water level stations, water levels at 12 monitoredriver stations are flowing above their respective danger marks, a bulletin issued by FFWC said on Thursday.
The Teesta at Dalia, the Ghagot at Gaibandha, the Brahmaputra at Chilmari, the Jamuna at Bahadurabad, Sariakandi and Sirajganj are flowing above their danger marks 30 cm, 25 cm, 11 cm, 36 cm, 68 cm and 15 cm. While the Atrai at Baghabari, the Dhaleswari at Elasin, the Lakhya at Lakhpur, Padma at Goalundo, the Surma at Sunamganj and the Kangsha at Jariajanjail are flowing above their respective danger levels by 71 cm, 47 cm, 25 cm, 4 cm, 23 cm and 30 cm.
All major river systems except the Brahmaputra and the upper Meghna are in rising trend, the bulletin added.
Significant rainfall was recorded in some stations in different districts during the last 24 hours ending at 6 am on Thursday.
A total of 44 mm rainfall were recorded at Rangpur and 37 mm at Sheola.
