A commemoration meeting on late veteran Editor, Abdus Salam, of the then Pakistan Observer, will be held on February 22 in the capital.
The programme is to organise the discussion on the occasion of 43rd death anniversary of Abdus Salam, who was also the founding Director General of Bangladesh Press Institute.
The meeting will be held at Abdus Salam Hall of the 2nd floor of the National Press club at 3 pm.
National Professor Dr. Anisuzzaman will be present as chief guest while The Daily Observer Editor Iqbal Sobhan Chowdhury will preside over the programme.
Special guests of the programme are Riazuddin Ahmed, Former President of National Press Club, Dr. Professor Sakhawat Ali Khan, Honorary Professor of Dhaka University, A. M. Mufazzal, Editor of The New Nation, Shawkat Mahmud, former President of National Press Club, Dr. Mostafizur Rahman, Fellow of CPD, Mustafiz Shafi, Acting Editor, Daily Samakal, Farida Yeasmin, General Secretary of National Press Club, Golam Kibria, former Acting DG of PIB and Delwar Hossain, President, Bangladesh-China Maitri Kendra.
Sangbadik Abdus Salam Smirity Sangsad will conduct the programme.
