Some 437 people became the victims to extrajudicial killings across the country in 10 months from January this year, jointly claimed Ain O Salish Kendra (ASK), a human rights and legal aid organization, and National Human Rights Commission (NHRC).
During January to October, 26 people were made victims of enforced disappearance, they said.
Ain O Salish Kendra (ASK) and National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) came up with the statistics at a citizens’ dialogue at the Azimur Rahman Hall in the city.
According to statistics unveiled by the ASK and NHRC on Tuesday, during May to October, 276 people were killed

in anti-narcotics drives carried out by law enforcers.
They also reported, National Human Rights Commission did not receive response from local authorities over 300 inquiries it made into incidents of rights violation during 2012 to 2017.
Ain O Salish Kendra believes that every citizen has right to live and getting justice. Not by the law enforcers, after completing the judgement procedure should have punishment the victims.
Among those present were Sheepa Hafiza, Executive Director for Ain O Salish Kendra, and Kazi Rezaul Hoq, Chairman of National Human Rights Commission.
