42 rivers marked rise, 41 fall

Water levels in 42 river stations monitored by Flood Forecasting and Warning Centre (FFWC) have marked rise and 41 stations recorded fall.
Among the 90 monitored water level stations, six river station have been registered steady while four rivers are flowing above the danger mark, a bulletin issued by FFWC said here on Thursday.
The Gorai at Kamarkhali, the Kobadak at Jhikargacha, the Kushiyara at Amalshid and the Muhuri at Parshuram are flowing above its danger level by 1cm, 91cm, 15cm and 65cm respectively.
Significant rainfall was recorded in some stations in different districts during the last 24 hours ending at 9 am yesterday.
A total of 102.5 millimeters (mm) rainfall was recorded at Ramgarh, 65mm at Kurigram, 65mm at Sheola, 65mm at Narayanhat, 61mm at Kanaighat, 60mm at Parshuram, 55mm at Durgapur, 52mm at Sunamganj, 50mm at Lorergarh and 47mm at Sylhet.
