Water levels in 42 river stations monitored by Flood Forecasting and Warning Centre (FFWC) have marked rise and 36 stations recorded fall.Among the 84 monitored water level stations, two river stations have been registered steady and three river stations were registered flowing above danger level, a bulletin issued by FFWC said here on Saturday. The Kansha river at Jariajanjail, the Shangu at Dohazari, the Matamuhuri at Chiringa are flowing above its danger levels by 18 cm, 65 cm, and 103 cm respectively.
Significant rainfall was recorded in some stations in different districts during the last 24 hours ending at 6 am yesterday. A total of 236 mm rainfall were recorded at Cox’s Bazar, 71 mm at Lama, 215 mm at Teknaf , 70 mm at Rangamati, 81 mm at Chittagong, 82 mm at Chandpur, 57.1 mm at Pabna, 52.9 mm at Kushtia, 67 mm at Barguna, 102 mm at Barisal, 128 mm at Panchpukuria, 62 mm at Faridpur, 65 mm at Dhaka, 62.2 at Bogra, 55 at Ramgarh and 48.3 mm at Jessore.
