42 Covid-19 deaths for the second consecutive day 2,735 infected

More 42 people have died with coronavirus infections in the last 24 hours, the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) said on Monday.
With the new fatalities, the death toll now stands at 930 and the death rate at 1.36 percent, Dr Nasima Sultana, Additional Director General (Administration) of DGHS, said in a press briefing.
She said that more 2,735 people have tested positive for Covid-19 in the last 24 hours. With this, the total number of infected has reached 68,504.
The DGHS official said that total 12,944 samples were tested in 50 labs across the country in the same period.
Besides, she said, 657 Covid-19 patients have recovered since yesterday, taking the total number of recoveries to 14,507 and the recovery rate to 21.25 percent.
Dr. Sultana said total 297 people were put under isolation in the last 24 hours.
The official said that among the deceased, 33 were male and nine female, she said adding that 25 were from Dhaka, eight from Chattogram, one from Sylhet, one from Rajshahi, two from Khulna, one from Rangpur, two from Barishal and the other two were from Mymensingh division.
Of them, Dr. Nasima Sultana said, three were between 21-30 years old, one was between 11-20 years old, one between 31-40, seven within 41-50, 10 between 51-60, 12 between 61-70, four were 71-80, two within 81-90 and another two were 91-100 years old.
