The government has created 41,422 new posts of differentcategories as part of the administration’s decision on recruiting 50,000 fresh manpower in the police.
Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan said this on Tuesday while replying to a tabled question from treasury bench member Mohammad Subid Ali Bhuiyan in the Jatiya Sangsad.
He said the government increased salary of all police personnel from July 1, 2015 following the national pay scale and different allowances of the force were increased from July 1, 2016.
Replying to another question from Jatiya Samajtantrik Dal member Nazmul Haque Prodhan of Panchagarh-1, the minister said the present government has sent 3,561 police personnel to United Nations Peacekeeping Mission.
Presently 1,019 police are working with the United Nations Peacekeeping Mission, he informed the House.
