41 rivers register rises, 39 falls

Water levels in 41 river stations monitored by Flood Forecasting and Warning Centre (FFWC) have marked rises and 39 stations recorded falls.
Among the 83 monitored water level stations, two river stations have been registered steady, a bulletin issued by FFWC said on Monday.
The Brahmaputra-Jamuna and the Padma are in rising trend while the Ganges and the Meghna are in falling trend. All the water level monitoring stations are flowing below their respective danger levels.
Significant rainfall was recorded in some stations in different districts during the last 24 hours ending at 6 am on Monday.
A total of 200 mm were recorded at Sunamganj, 130 mm at Lorergrah, 125 mm at Sherpur, 90 mm at Durgapur, 88 mm at Sheola, 82 mm at Sylhet, 79 mm at Kanighat and 46.5 mm at Habiganj.
