Dengue outbreak: 41 patients identified in Jashore, Benapole, one dies

At least twelve dengue patients have been identified in public and private hospitals in Jashore town. A woman of Narail has died of dengue in Jashore few days earlier.
However, Jashore Health Department claims – eight dengue patients were found. They have been attacked while staying in Dhaka. They are being treated at various hospitals in Jashore. The health department has provided free treatment to the patients at the government hospital.
Dengue sufferers Rani Khatun , 50 has died on July 19 while on her way to Dhaka from the ICU of Jashore Ibn Sina Hospital. She is the daughter of Abdur Razzak of Kurigram in Narail Sadar Upazila.
Jashore Deputy Civil Surgeon Haroon Aur Rashid said two dengue patients were identified at Jashore General Hospital and six at a private hospital. Their homes are in different districts including Jashore. They lived in Dhaka. They have been attacked there. They are coming to Jashore for treatment.
According to information from public and private hospital sources, patients with dengue are – Farzana Akhter, 25, of Ghop Central Road area of Jashore town; Ishaan (12) of the area, Nafiza Akhter (25) of Karbala area, Taspia Chowdhury Tuba (21) of Amrakananpara of Chowagacha upazila, and of Tekrali area of Sharsha upazila. Noor Hossain (25), Khaliduzzaman (25) of Satbariya village of Keshabpur upazila, Immul Hossain (25) of Khalpala area of Bagharpara upazila, Zahidul Islam (26), Jahidul Islam (32), Lakhmikund area of Kotchandpur upazila of Jhenaidah.
Deputy Civil Surgeon Haroon Aur Rashid also said that a dengue patient was being free treated at the government hospital. If the dengue symptoms arise you should urgent treatment. You Must used mosquitoes net all the time.
The matter was discussed at a monthly coordination meeting of the district administration on Sunday. It was decided to take careful and effective steps during the discussion he added.
BSS from Khulna adds: So far 21 patients were diagnosed with dengue in Khulna.
Civil surgeon ASM abdur Razzak said this in the monthly meeting of the District Development Coordination Committee at DC conference room here on Sunday.
The civil surgeon said most of the dengue patients in the Kulna have gone there from Dhaka. Prevalence of the disease in Khulna is almost zero, he said.
