At least 40 per cent government officials and employees who are working in the capital would get housing facilities within next three years.
“Out of nearly 1.50 lakh government officers and employees residing in the capital, only eight percent have been enjoying residential facilities,” said Housing and Public Works’ Minister Engineer Mosharraf Hossain.
He said that the government, considering the acute housing problem, has been undertaking programs to construct more multi-storied buildings in the city to provide housing facility for at least 40 percent government officers and employees by 2019.
