A group of Jubo League activists allegedly attacked the staff of Power Development Board in Barsola outside Sylhet city Tuesday afternoon, injuring seven of the government employees.
The PDB staff were attacked after being accused of delaying in restoring an electricity supply line in Barsola, said its residents.
Md Abul Hossain, Sylhet divisional executive engineer of PDB, filed a case with Airport police against 40 Jubo League activists of Sadar upazila unit Tuesday night.
Later, a Sylhet court yesterday morning sent one of the accused, Sumon Ahmed, to jail after he had been arrested at Barsola Bazar.
