A team of Customs Intelligence and Investigation Department (CIID) seized 40 gold bars from under a seat of a Biman Bangladesh Airlines’ flight at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka on Saturday.
Customs Intelligence sources said that 40 gold bars, weighing around 4kg and 640 grams worth Taka 2 crore 32 lakhs approximately.
Assistant Commissioner of Dhaka Customs House Sajjad Hossain confirmed the news to the media that legal action was taken against the accused as per law. Nobody was arrested.
