Customs Intelligence officials seized 40 gold bars, weighting about 4.6 kilograms, from Foreign Post Office at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport here on Wednesday morning.
The gold bars were kept hidden in a parcel of vehicle radiator accessories in a
flight of Emirates Airlines that landed at the airport in the morning, said Assistant Commissioner (Customs) of Dhaka Customs House Ruhul Amin.
Consigned to Nur Electronics of Agrabad in Chittagong city, the gold was recovered at about 10:30 am after scanning the parcel.
