A total of 40 students from different academic years and disciplines of Dhaka University (DU) will be awarded Sumitomo Corporation Scholarship, Japan today. A programme will be held to give scholarships among the students by Sumitomo Corporation and Oceania Private Limited, at the conference room of Nabab Nawab Ali Chowdhury Senate Auditorium on the DU campus. Dhaka University Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr Akhtaruzzaman will preside over the function.
General Manager of the Sumitomo Corporation Naoto Yamada and representative from Embassy of Japan in Bangladesh Yamamura Machiko will be present on the occasion.
