Four people including women and a child have died unnatural in Mohammadpur upazila of Magura in last 24 hours till Thursday noon.
The deceased were identified as housewife Keya Khatun,22, of Aonara village, Mahir Ahmed Asif,18, of Aksarchar, Abul Hossain Fakir,60, of Jangalia, and Suraiya,2, of Datiadaho village. Local sources said in-laws left the body of Keya Khatun, wife of Dubai expatriate Sajeeb Sheikh, at the upazila health complex on Wednesday afternoon. A scarf tied around her neck, police said. Asif, son of Nayeb Mollah, allegedly committeed suicide by taking poisonon Wednesday night. Van puller Abul Hossain was electrocuted while charging his battery-run three-wheer a same night.
Meanwhile, Suiraiya, daughter of Saiful Islam of Moheshpur village, came to visit her maternal aunty’s house at Datiadaho village and drowned in a pond at 12 noon on Thursday. Mohammadpur police OC Tareque Biswas confirmed the deaths.
