The Counter Terrorism Transnational Crime (CTTC) unit arrested four suspected members of the banned terror outfit Jamaat-ul-Mujahideen Bangladesh (JMB) in the
city’s Abdullahpur on Sunday.
The detained persons are Mohibul Islam, 22, Md Mozammel Haque alias Billal, 34, Shamim Ahmed, 27, and Md Delwar Hossain, 37.
Two machetes, 96 detonators, 10 batteries and several bomb making materials have been recovered from them,” said Masudur Rahman, Deputy Commissioner (Media and Public Relations) of Dhaka Metropolitan Police.
“An initial investigation suggests the active activists stored the materials for an attempt to create disorder.
A case was filed against them with Uttara West Police Station.
