Premier University authority sued four persons for alleged burning of the effigies of city Mayor Manzoor Alam and the former Mayor ABM Mohiuddin Chowdhury .
PUA filed a defamation suit against four persons allegedly involved with the inicident of burning. A defamatiion case filed before the Chittagong Metropolitan Magistrate Court of Md. Mosiur Rahman on Sunday as filed by the Deputy Registrar of the university Khurshidur Rahman as plaintiff. Court sources said a human chain formed infront of Chittagong Press Club on November 12 last demanding return of their land where the permanent campus of PU is being constructed at GEC circle and they claimed the lands owned by them .
