Police have recovered four motor cycles and arrested two persons from Chitalmari Upazila in Bagerhat district at Sunday. The arrestees are Masuk Kazi (30), son of one Ehia Kazi of village Hijla of the Upazila and Moniruzzaman Milon (48), son of one late Abdus Sattar Shikdar of village Paikkandi under the adjacent Gopalganj district.
It is learnt from the police that acting on secret information a police squad of Khulna Sadar PS under Khulna Metropolitan Police (KMP) raided the different places under Chitalmari Upazila at the night (Sunday) and recovered 4 stolen motor cycles from Aruaborni, Kharamkhali and Hijla villages. At that time the police arrested 2 members of a syndicate of motor cycle lifters.
Md. Hasan-al-Mamu, Officer-in-charge of Khulna Sadar PS told the newsmen, after getting secret information an expert squad of police of the PS derived the various places of Chitalmari Upazila throughout the night (Sunday) and arrested those 2 lifters of motor cycles and recovered 4 stolen motor cycles, as per their information. The O/C added, the drive will continue.
