At least four persons, including two siblings, were stabbed to death in Bogra, Nilphamari and Narayanganj on Monday.
The deceased were identified as Shahidul Islam, 35, Jahangir Alam, 41, and Jahidul Islam, 37, and Nasir Mollah, police said.
In Bogra, a primary school teacher was hacked to death by a gang of assailants in Dhunat upazila early Monday.
The deceased was identified as Shahidul Islam, an Assistant Teacher of Upazila Pirhati Government Primary School.
Dhunat Police Station’s Officer-in-charge (OC)
Ziaur Rahman said that some miscreants entered the house of Shahidul around 4:00am when Shahidul and his wife were sleeping. Later, they hacked Shahidul and fled away. Police recovered the body from the spot following information. The reason behind the killing could not be known immeditly, the OC said.
On the other hand, two siblings were hacked to death during a clash over land dispute at Chikonmati Khamarbari in Domra upazila under Nilphamari district around 12:30pm.
The deceased were identified as Jahangir Alam and Jahidul Islam, said the OC Moazzem Hossain of Domra thana, Police arrested six perons in this connection, the police official said.
Meanwhile, a man was hacked to death by locals on charge of stealing at Sonakhali village in Sonargaon upazila of Naryanganj district around 1:45am, said the OC M Kamrul Islam of Sonargaon Police Station. Police are investigation the incident, the police official said.
