Mobile court in the port city in a anti-adulteration drive fined four shops for selling the adulterated ghee .
The drive was conducted in Kazir Dewri CDA market in city on Sunday evening. City corporation executive magistrate Nazia Shirin conducted the mobile court.
The convicted shops are – Nasir & Brothers, Babul Store, Nishat Store and Jibon Grocery.
Magistrate Nazia Shirin told that these shop owners were adulterated cow ghee filling in container of the popular brand cow ghee . Acting on secret information, mobile court team conducted raid in the market and seized the containers of the popular brand cow ghee .
These shops owners have been convicted with penalty of Tk.5 thousand each and warned them to avoid selling of adulterated ghee in future otherwise disciplinery actions will be taken according, sources said. Law enforcers and the officials of BSTI accompanied the mobile court team.
