4 shops have been burnt in Lohagara. The accident took place at Sayedee Market in South Satgarh Noapara of Ward 8 of Chunati Union of the upazila. According to the victims, more than Tk 8 lakh was lost in the fire that broke out at 3:30 am on Tuesday night.
The matter has been confirmed by Chunati UP Chairman Muhammad Zainul Abedin Junu Company.
It is learned that a fire broke out at Sayedee Market on Ishaq Mia Road in the union at 3.30 am on Tuesday. The onset of fire is thought to be caused by an electrical short circuit. The goods of Md. Shawkat’s grocery store, TV, fridge, mobile, Tk 30,000 in cash, 5 sewing machines of Nabi Hossain’s tailors, Hafez Mushar’s chicken shop and all the goods of Chhotan Sheel’s saloon shop have been burnt to ashes. The victim said that more than eight lakh tk was lost in four shops. The fire was brought under control by the locals late at night.
Chunati UP Chairman Muhammad Zainul Abedin Junu Company visited the spot in the morning after receiving the news.
