Members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) in a drive arrested four alleged robbers from Miakundu Khatakhal area of the district town on Friday night. The arrestees were identified as Bibhash Biswas, 38, Tibbat Sikder, 54, Kumud Sarker, 26, and Sukanur Rahman, 30.
Major Monir Ahmed, commanding officer of Jhenidah Rab-6, said that
on secret information a special team of Rab conducted a drive in the area around 12:30 am and arrested them while they were taking preparation for committing robbery. The elite force also recovered two foreign pistols, a rifle, three rounds of rifle bullets, three rounds of rubber bullets, a cartridge and a machete from their possession. A case was filed with Sadar Police Station.
