Teachers of Rajshahi University(RU) on Monday submitted 4-point demands to the University Grants Commission (UGC) for maintaining peace and discipline on its campus.
Their demands include are– To form investigation committee for investigation all sorts of irregularities of recruitment the university teachers, officials and employees, ensuring judgment against those who are involved with recruitment of their relatives as teacher, to relieve RU pro vice chancellor professor Choudhury M Zakaria from recruitment committee and all of university projects’ committee immediately and to take steps for investigation financial corruption in construction works of the university with tender. Around 58 teachers of progressive teachers’ society singed the statement submitted to the UGC.
