Staff Reporter : A couple and their two children were found dead at a house in South Keraniganj area, on the outskirts of Dhaka, this morning. Informed by locals, police recovered the bodies from the house at Kolakandi village around 10:00am. Identities of the deceased could not be known immediately. Confirming the incident, Jamal Uddin Mir, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Keraniganj Police Station (North) told The New Nation that locals informed the police after getting smell from the house in the morning. “We recovered the tied up bodies from the fourth floor of the building around 11:30am.” The OC said: “We are estimating that they might have been strangled to death before 48-hours. Ropes were wrapped around their necks.”
