Friendly Motorcade Rally of 4 nations viz. Bangladesh, India, Nepal and Bhutan arrive Chitagong on Saturday at about 8 pm. Reliable sources said these motorcade rally entered in city crossing city gate at about 8 pm .
Officials of Roads & Highways, chittagong welcomed the motorcade at Radison Blue hotel, Executive Engineer Rashedul Alam confirmed the matter to this correspondent.
After night hault at Radison Blue, the motorcade left chittagong for Dhaka yesterday (Sunday) morning at about 9 am.
City mayor AJM Nasiurddin gave farewell to them at hotel premises, sources said.
R&H sources said these motorcade consist of 20 vehicles started journey from Urisa Bhuvaneshar on November 15 last which entered Bangladesh through Belonia checkpost after 14 days crossing 3 thousands kilometers.
Mentionable that in June last, a tripartite agreement on movement of passenger and cargo vehicles was signed with these four countries.
Under the agreement, this is the trial journey, sources said.
80 guests comprising 66 from India, 4 from Nepal, 4 from Butan and 6 from Bangladesh started journey in 20 modern jeeps, sources said.
