4 more killed in road crashes

At least four persons including, a Education Officer, were killed and several others injured in separate road crashes across the country on Tuesday.
In Khulna, Upazila Education Officer Masum Billah (45) was killed in a road accident when a truck rammed him at Dakope in Khulna district.
On Tuesday, the accident occurred at World Road junction of Shachibuna area of Batiyaghata upazila.
Dakope Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Abdul Wadud confirmed the news to media that Masum Billah was upazila Education Officer.
Batiaghata Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Mahbubur Rahman said that Police recovered the body of the deceased from spot.
In Chattagram, a young man named Ruhul Amin (35) was killed when a jeep rammed a CNG run auto-rickshaw on the Anwara Baramchari Road of Chattagram district.
The accident took place around 8:30 am on Tuesday.
The deceased was identified as Ruhul Amin, son of Syedul Alam from Barguna of Bandumara Banshkhali upazila.
Chittagong Medical College Hospital Police Outpost Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) Alauddin Talukder said it to media.
In Chuadanga, A motorcyclist named Mehedi Hasan (23) was killed in a road accident in Jibannagar upazila of Chuadanga district.
The incident occurred in the Uthali area of Jibannagar upazila on Tuesday noon. Mehedi was the son of Dulal Sheikh from Andulbaria of Jibananagar upazila.
Jibannagar Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Sheikh Gani Mia said that police seized the bus, but driver and helpers escaped.
In Cumilla, an old lady named Shahena Begum (60) was killed in a road crash when a microbus rammed her in Chouddagram of Comilla district.
The accident occurred around 11:30 in Chauddagram.
The deceased was identified as wife of one Habibur Rahman in Dhopakhila village of the upazila.
Miyabazar Highway Police Outpost Sub Inspector (SI) Abul Hossain confirmed the incident to media.
