4 more held over Tangail arson attack

Members of Rapid Action Battalion (Rab) arrested four more people in connection with the arson attack that claimed the lives of a woman and her three daughters at Sohaghpur village in Mirzapur upazila of Tangail.
Among the arrestees, two were identified as Nipu, 28, and his father Abul Kashem, 60.
Major Maksud, deputy director of Rab Media Wing said different teams of Rab-12 conducted daylong simultaneous drives in different parts of the capital as well as in Tangail and arrested the four.
Meanwhile, six accused in the case, including
mastermind of the incident Jahangir Hossain, remained absconding since the incident.
Hasna Begum, 30, wife of Mujibur Rahman, a Malaysia expatriate, and their three daughters – Mariam, 14, Mali, 4, Mim 6, of South Sohagpara village were burned to death on October 7 as miscreants set fire to their house following previous enmity.
Mofazzal Hossain, brother of victim Hasna, filed a case against 11 people including Jahangir, with Mirzapur Police Station.
