Coast Guard forces in the port city seized 10 crore pieces of shrimp fry from City’s Lalkhan Bazar on Thursday evening. Four mini trucks, transporting the shrimp fry in plastic containers , were also seized. But the smugglers could not be arrested as quickly escaped from the spot..The Coast Guards stopped four mini trucks on the Lalkhan Bazar flyover around 6:30pm acting on a tip-off, sources at Coast Guard Headquarters said. They found the containers containing the shrimp fry. Later, the seized shrimp fry was released in Karnaphuli River following the instruction from the concerned authority
