Paltan explosion: 4 militants placed on 4-day fresh remand

The Chief Metropolitan Magistrate (CMM) Court of Dhaka on Monday placed four militants, who were arrested in a case filed over bomb explosion in Paltan area of the city, on a four-day fresh remand.
Magistrate Dheeman Chandra Mondal of the CMM Court passed the order.
Earlier, Inspector Abdullah Al Nazrul of Counter Terrorism and
Transnational Crime Unit (CTTC), and also Investigation Officer (IO) of the case produced them in the court after the previous two-day remand ended.
The militants are: Mamun Al Mozahid alias Sumon, 24, Al-Amin alias Abu Jiad, 26, Mozahidul Islam alias Rokon alias Abu Tariq, 24, and Sarowar Hossain Rahat, 23.
They were arrested from Uttara Azampur area in the capital on Thursday (September 10) night.
Earlier, a bomb blasted near Paltan police check post on July 24 night. However, no casualties were reported in the incident.
