4 killed in separate road mishaps in Barisal, Jessore

Two killed, another one injured in two separate road accidents on Barisal-Dhaka highway under Gournadi upazila of Barisal on Wednesday morning and noon.
Shahabad Husain, officer in charge of Gourmand highway police station, acknowledged the facts.
He said on Wednesday morning pedestrian Naim Fakir, 26, a worker of local Alahi Rice Mill, killed at the spot and Bachchu Haoladar, 35, a rickshaw-van puller injured near Barthi Kali Temple by hit of a bus plying on Vurghata- Barisal route.
Killed Naim Fakir was son of Babul Fakir from Ghoshkathi under Nazirpur upazila of Pirojpur.
Injured Bachchu Haoladar was son of Hakim Haoladar from Puali village under Kalkini upazila of Madaripur and admitted at Barisal Sher E Bangla Medical College Hospital.
In another accident a three-wheeler plying on Kasemabad-Gournadi route clashed near Batajore Ashwini Datta Institution with a passenger bus plying on Gournadi-Barisal route at about 12:30 PM Wednesday.
Three-wheeler driver Milon Molla, 22, son of Mosharraf Hossain Molla of Kasemabad under Gournadi upazila, killed at the spot.
BSS from Jessore adds: Two college students were killed in a road accident in Chatiantola-Charavita area on the Jessore-Narail highway under Bagherpara upazila of the district on Wednesday afternoon.
The deceased were identified as Pallab Hossain, 18, resident of South Narail village and Rajibul Hossain alias Rajib, 19, of North Vowakhali village of Narail municipality. Both of them are students of Narail Government Victoria College.
Officer-in-charge (OC) Bagherpara police station M Monjurul Alam said the accident occurred in the area at about 4 pm when a microbus hit their motorbike from opposite direction, leaving them critically injured.
Locals rescued them and admitted to Jessore 250-bed hospital where on duty doctors declared them dead.
A case was filed in this connection.
