Four people including two women were killed in separate incidents in the city’s suburb Savar.
Police on Sunday recovered their bodies from Hemayetpur, Bhakurta and Birolia areas and Savar Health Complex.
Of them, two were identified as Helal Uddin, 60, a night guard of a CNG-run auto-rickshaw garage, hailing from Narsingdi district used to reside in Hemayetpur area, and Shirin Akhter, 20, of Birolia area.
In Hemayetpur area, a gang of unidentified miscreants killed Helal Uddin by giving him electric shock at Joynabari and took away a three-wheeler from there.
On information, police recovered the body and sent it to hospital morgue for autopsy. Besides, hanging body of a young woman Shirin Akhter was recovered from her residence at village Birulia on Sunday morning. Later, her body was sent to DMCH morgue for autopsy. Apart from these, a slaughtered body of an unidentified youth was recovered from the village Bhakurta early Sunday. On information, police recovered the body and sent to DMCH morgue.
In another incident, a group of youths took an elderly woman to Savar Upazila Health Complex with severe injuries and they then fled.
The unidentified woman succumbed to her injuries hours after admission. Police suspected the woman have been beaten to death.
Senior Assistant Superintendent of Police Mahbubur Rahman of Savar Model Police Station, said, “All bodies have been sent to DMCH morgue for autopsy. Separate cases were filed these connections.”
