4 killed in road crashes in districts

Three motorcyclist were killed in a road accident on Dhaka-Mawa Highway at Samashpur of Shrenagar upzila in the district yesterday.
The deceased were identified as Omar Faruk, 24, Sifat, 22, and Saimon, 23. They are resident of Kabutar Khola village of the upazila.
Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Shrenagar police station Md Mujibur Rahman told reporters a Madaripur-bound passenger-bus hit the motorcycle, the three friend were riding, leaving Omar Faruk dead on the spot and two others seriously injured.
Saimon and Sifat were immediately taken to Sreenagar upazila health complex at first, the OC said. Later, they were died on the way to Dhaka Medical College Hospital.
BSS from Habiganj adds: A truck driver was killed and two helpers were injured in a road accident when a fish loaded truck collided with a stone loaded truck at Shaestaganj-Dewondi crossing on Dhaka-Sylhet Highway yesterday morning. The deceased was identified as truck driver Anwarul Hossain, 35.
Police and local said a Dhaka bound stone loaded truck from Sylhet and a Sylhet bound fish truck collided head on at the area about 7.30am.
After the collision Anwarul Hossian died on the spot and a driver and helper of stone loaded truck were seriously injured.
Local people rescued the injured persons and admitted to Habiganj hospital. Police also seized both the trucks.
None was arrested and no case was filed till writing this report.
