Four people were killed and 20 others injured in two separate road accidents in Jaintapur upazila of Sylhet district and Gopalganj Sadar upazila on Saturday.
In Sylhet, Shri Shukla Rani, 23, wife of Tapan Talukdar, her daughter Itapa Rani, 5, and her mother-in-law Aumka Rani, 55, residents of
Varaora village in Shrimangal upazila of Moulvibazar died after a their bus collided with a truck at Darbasto on Sylhet-Tamabil road around 7pm.
Twenty people were also injured in the accident, said Khan Mohammad Mainul Jakir, officer-in-charge of Jaintapur Model Police Station.
In Gopalganj, a female student of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Science & Technology University (BSMRSTU) was killed after pickup van knocked down her at Ghunapar in sadar upazila in the afternoon.
