4 killed in road accidents

Four persons were killed in two separate road accidents at different places in Rangpur and Nilphamari districts yesterday, police sources said.
In Rangpur city, Salek, 28, an employee of a local book shop, was killed on the spot after a Rangpur bound passenger minibus from Kurigram hit his running bicycle at Parker Mour point on Rangpur-Kurigram highway yesterday noon. Confirming the incident, Officer-in-Charge (Investigation) of Kotwali Thana Azizul Islam said the killer bus was seized and the body sent to Rangpur Medical College Hospital morgue for
autopsy. In another road accident, three youths, including an HSC examinee, were killed when two running motorcycles collided head-on from opposite directions at Sagir Bazar point on Kishoreganj-Rangpur road under Kishoreganj upazila in Nilphamari yesterday noon. HSC examinee Abdul Kaiyum, 19, son of Enamul Haque of village Pathanpara under Magura union and former BGB member Biplob Mian, 30, son of Abu Hossain of village Donga under Chandkhana union in Kishoreganj upazila were killed on the spot.
