Tragic death of four agro-workers at Atharokhada Benipur has over flowed the peoplewith grief and tears.
Four farmers died after lightning had struck them when they were working at Rupdha Bill in Atharokhada Benipur area of Sadar upazila of Magura district.
The incident took place around 3pm on Tuesday.
According to local sources, Rahmat Molla, Samin Mollah, Mannan Mollah and Akram Hossain were cutting jute on the land of one
Maqbool Hossain of Kanda Bansakota village around 3pm on the day. Suddenly, they were killed in lightning.
Magura Fire Service and Sadar Police Station recovered the body of the four people after getting the news.
Sirajul Islam, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Magura Sadar Police Station told the media “Thunderbolts struck the farmers, around 3 pm, while cutting jute during heavy rainfall in Rupdha bill area.”
