A farmer was killed in lighting in Gowainghat upazila of the district on Sunday afternoon.
The deceased was identified as Motaher Hossain, 45, resident of the Bogaiya Hawor village of the area.
Officer -in-charge of Gowainghat Police Station Abdul Hye confirm the incident.
Jhenidah Correspondent reports: Lighting kills a farmer at Bahirgachi village under Kaligonj upazila in Jhenidah.
The deceased was identified as Johurul Islam, 30 son of Momin Haque of Bahirgachi village under the upazila.
Johurul’s neighbor Saiful Islam master said, on Sunday noon at around 03:00 pm Johurul was working on his crop plot at Bahirgachi village field under Kaligonj upazila of the district. All on a sudden thunderbolt struck him on his head leaving dead on the spot.
Monirampur (Jessore) Correspondent adds: Two person were killed and two others injured in separate lighting incidents at Monirampur Upazila on Sunday.
According to the report, the deceased were identified as Wahid Ali Sardar ,50, son of late Eman Ali of village Matchna under Khanpur Union, when was returning home from pond after bath was killed by lighting. On the other hand Sagor (25) son of Chad Ali of village Hanuar was killed on the way to home from field.
Besides Shadhan Biswas (25) and another Sanaton Biswas both were returning from Jhinkorgacha fish market. They were injured on the way home.
