Four people were killed and ten others injured when a truck hit a human hauler on Dhaka-Chittagong highway at Sufia road in Mirsarai upazila on Sunday.
The deceased were identified Molina Majumdar, 45, Pradeep Debnath, 48, Sumon, 35, Mafizul Islam, 60, residents of Mirsarai upazila.
The accident took place around 2 pm when a truck hit a human hauler, leaving its three passengers dead on the spot and 11 others injured, said Shafiqul Islam, sub-inspector of Joralganj highway police.
The injured were taken to Mirsarai Upazila Health Complex and a local hospital. Later, Mafizul succumbed to his injuries at Mirsarai Upazila Health Complex.
