4 killed in Chattogram-Kaptai road mishap

Four people were killed when a truck rammed a CNG-run autorickshaw on the Chattogram-Kaptai road. The accident took place at 2:15 am on Wednesday at Damdama area of Raozan Upazila of the district.
Three of the deceased have been identified as Md Shahjahan, 33, son of Md Abul Kalam of Rangunia Sarafbhata Asylum Project, Md Siraj, 55, son of Delu Majhi of Charfakira village under Hatia police station of Noakhali district, and Morshed, 40, son of Shah Alam of Mohra of the city.
Pahartali UP Chairman Mohammad Rokon Uddin said a CNG-run autorickshaw heading towards Rangunia was crushed by a city-bound sand-laden truck. Four people were killed in the incident. On information, Raozan police and a team of Rangunia Fire Service conducted rescue operation.
Noapara police outpost in-charge SI Humayun Kabir said, the bodies were recovered and sent to the hospital morgue. Besides, two vehicles involved in the accident have been seized.
