Donation cheques from Bangladesh Journalists’ Welfare Trust werec handed over to 3 ailing journalists of Chittagong at a simple ceremony held at Chittagong Press Club on Monday.
President of Bangladesh Federal Union of Journalist Manjurul Ahsan Bulbul and BFUJ Secretary General Omar Faruk handed over the cheques to them , The function was presided over by CUJ President Reaz Haider Chowdhury and General Secretary Md. Ali .
Among others, CPC President Kalim Sarwar, Vice President of BFUJ Shahidul Alam, Press Club Secretary Suklal Das, Joint Secretry of BFUJ Tapan Chakrobarty spoke on the occasion.
The recepients of the donation cheques are Noor Md. Rafique, Swapan Mahajon, Debprasad Debu and mother of expired Narayan Paul , sources said.
