Double Thana police of CMP rounded up four Jubo league activists including a leader from a city posh hotel on Thursday night for their abnormal behavior and vandalism inside the hotel during their drug addicts. The detained Jubo League leaders identified as leader Alamgir Ali, Kamrul Hasan, Mansurual Amin and Riaz.
The incident was happended on Thursday night, at Hotel SaintMartin in city , sources said. Hotel sources said these drug addict Jubo League men ransacked the properties of their restaurant with drunk position at about 12 midnight on Thursday.
Double mooring thana officer incharge Md. Motiul Islam told that they arrested four persons from the hotel with drunk condiction but could not identify whether they are the members of Jubo League.
These arrrested drug addicts have been sent court under section 79 of BPC.
Youth held with heroin : Chittagong Metropolitan Police on Monday arrested an alleged heroin trader with 60 grams of heroin from the city’s Miakhan Nagar area.
The detainee was identified as Mohammad Alam, 35, hailed from Muradnagar of Comilla district.
A team of Bakalia thana police, on a tip-off, challenged Alam and recovered the heroin worth about TK six lakhs after searching his body in front of Miakhan Shopping Centre around 1.30pm, said Mohammad Mohsin, Officer-in-charge (OC) of Bakalia police station.
Alam had been involved in heroin trading in the locality for long, the OC said adding that a case was lodged in this connection.
