Members of the Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) on Tuesday arrested four persons with huge quantities of Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) equipments from city’s Khulshi residential area.
On secret information, a team of RAB conducted a drive in a four-storey apartment building at C-Block of Khulshi residential area around 11am, said Saheda Sultana, Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP), RAB.
During the drive, the RAB team found evidences of illegal VoIP business from different flats of the building and arrested four persons including caretaker of the building with huge VoIP equipments.
The names of the arrestees and the details of the recovered VoIP equipments could not be known immediately.
The arrested would be handed over to police after primary interrogation, RAB sources said.
