Baizid thanapolice of Chittagong Metro Police rounded up four persons including two women from Baizid area in city on Friday along with 7000 pieces of intoxicated yaba tablets.
The detained drug traffickers indentified as Rokeya Begum and her husband Hasan Ali, Md. Rahim, and Anowara Begum. Sources said all the detainees are members of same family. All the detainees hail from Teknaf Upazila of Cox’sBazar district and were residing in Baizid area in a rented house. Officer In-charge of Baizid hana Md. Mohsin told that they were rounded up from the residence of Abdur Rahim on Friday and confessed to police that they are involved with the trafficking of yaba since long.
