A team of Detective Branch (DB) of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) in a drive detained four persons along with 55,000 pieces of Yaba tablets from the city’s Khilgaon area on Monday. They also seized a car and Yaba making equipments during the drive. The detained persons have been identified as Abdullah Jubair, 28, Ayub Ali, 45, Shamsul Alam, 24, and Mostakin alias Sunny, 32. They have been taken to Dhaka court on Monday and later sent them for interrogation on 7-day remand police said. DB’s Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Sayedul Rahman confirmed the matter and said that the major consignment of Yaba tablets was coming to Dhaka from Teknaf in Cox’s Bazar district, the DB official said.
