Law enforcers detained at least four suspects of a teen gang group over killing a teenager boy in city’s Mohammadpur area on Wednesday night.
Deceased was identified as Mohsin, 16, a student of Child Heaven International School, is suspected to be killed over conflict among teen gangs.
Local sources said that, some youths started to stab Mohsin with knife randomly when Mohsin and his three friends Sabbir, 17, Rakib, 17 and Rubel, 23 were chatting near to a culvert in Pioneer Lane of Satmasjid Housing in Mohmmadpur.Sabbir, Rakib and Rubel were also stabbed when they tried to save Mohsin.
Locals rushed them to Shaheed Suhrawardy Medical College Hospital where Mohsin was declared dead by doctor
A case was filed over the incident with Mohammadpur Police Station at the night.
Md Faruk Hossain, Investigation Officer of the case Mohammadpur Police Station confirmed the news to the media that murder was took place due to internal conflict between the teen gangs.
“Four suspects have been detained. They are being interrogated,” he added.
