Members of Detective Branch (DB) of Police arrested four people, including terminated army and police personnel, for their alleged involvement in making fake driving license from different parts of the capital on Sunday night.
The arrested persons are: Mohammad Sirajul Islam Jinnat, Mohammad Bazlur Rahman, Mohammad Saidur Rahman Shimul and Mohammad Abdur Razzak.
Police also recovered a computer monitor, a CPU, a card printer, seven driving license cards, six fake driving license cards, 21 incomplete PBC white cards, two hologram ribbons (golden) and seven silver and two black ink pots.
Monirul Islam, Joint Commissioner of Detective Branch, at a press briefing at DMP Media Centre in the city said the arrested persons were involved in providing fake driving license identifying themselves as BRTA officials for long.
Among the arrested persons, Bazlur Rahman is a dismissed police man, while Saidur Rahman a terminated army person, the police official said. He also said, they used to take Tk 750 for each driving license, Tk 500 for fake fitness certificates, Tk 350 for fake insurance certificates.
