A mobile court here on Friday sentenced four persons to one month jail each for early marriage under Panchbibi upazila of the district.
The court also fined marriage registered Shafiqule Islam to Taka 1,000.
The convicts are: Lutfar Rahman, 42, Abul Kalam Azad, 41, Parvez, 22 and Aminul Islam, 37.
Police said after getting on information, a team of police raided at Khanganpur area and arrested them while they were arranged a marriage ceremony.
The police handed over them to the court. Panchbibi upazila nirbahi officer Nuruddin Al Faruque arranged a trial by the mobile court and gave them punishment.
