4 female JMB suspects on fresh remand

A court here on Monday placed four suspected female members of banned militant outfit Jama’atul Mujahideen
Bangladesh (JMB) on a 4-day fresh remand each in a case filed under the Anti-Terrorism Act.
Those four female remanded are Oishee, an intern of Dhaka Medical College Hospital and head of the female unit of the banned outfit, Aklima Rahman Moni, Mou and Meghla- 4th year Pharmacy Department
 students of Manarat International University.
Besides, the court also put another suspected JMB member Fuhad Al Mahdi, 28, on a five-day remand under the same case.
Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Emdadul Haque passed the order when senior assistant police super of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB)-4 M Shamsul Haque, also investigation officer of the case, produced the five JMB members before the court seeking a 10-day remand for each.
On the basis of information provided by the female JMB members during the interrogation of their first remand, a team of Rab-4 arrested JMB man Mahdi, a master’s student of Bangladesh Islamic University, from the city’s Kolabagan area on Sunday. Later, Mahdi was shown arrested in a case filed with Mirpur Model police station under the Anti-Terrorism Act.
