A team of Government Railway Police (GRP) in a drive arrested at least four drug peddlers and recovered one kilogram of cannabis and six litres of foreign wine from them at Kamalapur Railway Police Station in Dhaka on Friday morning.
The arrested men have been identified as Russel Mia, Amir Hossain, Sohel Rana and Rafiqul Islam, said a GRP official.
Yasin Faruq, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of GRP of Kamalapur Railway Station, said, “Based on an authentic information, a team of GRP raided the
Turna Nishita Express Train and the Mohanagar Express Train at 7:00am and arrested them.
They are being interrogated in this connection and at least two cases have been filed, the OC said.
